Did you know, China and India fight each other with sticks? There is a stretch of about 150 miles on the border of the two countries that is disputed, so naturally, they have troops positioned on said stretch of border. However, the two countries have a treaty signed that says they are not allowed to use explosives of any kind, so no bullets, grenades, or other 21st-century weapons. Instead, they use sticks, rocks, and riot gear whenever the troops get a little rowdy. Which happens often because both countries suffer from little-big man syndrome, apparently. This week, you may notice some poor audio quality, a tiny demon slid our recording volume to 100000, and we didn't notice until editing, deal with it. We start with listening to Jaymi cough his third lung out, yes, he has three, no, you can't have his extra one. After that, it's alllllll games, well that and more coughing, obviously. First, it's writing a letter about a certain upside-down plane. Honestly, it's times like these that I feel like we should script some of this madness. Hello, today we have prepared a scrumptuous tasting for your ears. The special is the three of us laughing and giggling about a lightsaber, which you can't see because it's an audio podcast, teasingly savory. We have a couple of appetizers as well, the favorite is a little something called "Would You Rather", you'll notice hints of rosemary and lettuce in that experience. Lastly, we have an Entrée/dessert, it's called "The Clyde", another earthy flavors forward dish, with just a slight hint of an old man berating you for being an idiot, it is simply delightful. Hey guys, before we left for vacation, our editor was supposed to grab a hard drive so he could edit the podcast while on said vacation. The editor, who shall not be named, forgot to grab said hard drive. So now we're here, four days late and so many dollars short. Did you know that Feudal Japan was a period of history in Japanese? Many people think that "feudal" is the same thing as "futile"; it is, in fact, not even remotely close to the same. Feudal Japan refers to a period in Japanese history, roughly the 12th to 19th century. This is when the government was largely run by a system of military rule and land-based hierarchy similar to medieval Europe. There was an Emperor who really had no power and acted mainly as a figurehead, a Shogun, who had most of the military and political power, and the Daimyo, who were rich landlords, who were powerful enough to have their own armies. This was the time of Samurai, Shinobi(basically ninjas), and all the other crazy stereotypical Japanese things we see from movies and TV. This period lasted from around 1185 to 1868 and really only lasted because Japan was so closed off from the rest of the world. The end came about because the emperor regained power and then opened Japan up to the rest of the world. Also, crazy that around 60 years later, they wanted to kill everyone, or mostly everyone at least. HAHA!! Thank you for reading!! Oh, and listening, but that's secondary.
